About us

Glass Tailors Ltd (trading as Glass Tailors) designs, manufactures and installs bespoke architectural glass — frameless showers, balustrades, splashbacks, mirrors and aluminium-framed doors and windows — across Greater London and the Home Counties. Our office and workshop are at Unit K, Braintree Industrial Estate, Braintree Road, South Ruislip, Middlesex HA4 0EJ.

What data we collect

Through this website and our day-to-day operations we collect only what we need to quote, deliver and support an installation:

  • Contact details you give us (name, email, phone, project address) when you request a quote, callback or enquiry.
  • Project information you submit through our online quote calculator (dimensions, finishes, product choices).
  • Standard website analytics and advertising signals (see Cookies and Privacy Policy).

We do not ask for, store or process payment-card data on this website. Card payments, where used, are handled directly by our payment provider.

How we use your data

  • To prepare quotations and arrange site surveys.
  • To schedule manufacture, delivery and installation.
  • To provide after-sales support and honour our workmanship warranty.
  • To send you occasional follow-up emails about your enquiry. You can opt out at any time.

Website and account security

  • The site is served over HTTPS with TLS in transit.
  • Form submissions and quote requests are sent over encrypted connections to our backend.
  • Our staff portal is protected by individual accounts; access to customer records is limited to team members who need it to do their job.
  • Customer data in our backend database is protected by row-level access rules so each record is only visible to authorised staff.

Subprocessors and integrations

We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate the website and run our business. The main categories are:

  • Hosting and database for this website and our internal job tracker.
  • Transactional email delivery for quotes, confirmations and follow-ups.
  • Web analytics and advertising platforms (Google, Meta, LinkedIn) — see Cookies for the categories used and how to opt out.
  • An embedded quote calculator and review/enquiry widgets provided by our specialist software partners.

We choose providers that offer appropriate technical and organisational protections for personal data and that support UK/EU data-protection obligations.

Retention and deletion

We keep enquiry and quotation records for as long as is reasonably necessary to support the project, honour our warranties and comply with our legal and accounting obligations. You may ask us to delete personal data we hold about you at any time, subject to records we are legally required to retain.

Your privacy rights

Under UK data-protection law you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email mail@glasstailors.co.uk. We aim to respond within one calendar month.

Cookies and tracking

Compliance posture

We operate in accordance with the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015. We do not currently hold ISO 27001, SOC 2 or PCI-DSS certifications, and this page should not be read as a claim to any such certification.

Shared responsibility

Security is shared between our hosting and software providers, us as the operator of Glass Tailors, and you as a customer. We are responsible for how we configure, monitor and use those platforms and for how our staff handle your data. You are responsible for keeping the credentials you use with us (for example, customer portal access where provided) confidential and for letting us know promptly if anything looks wrong.
