At Glass Tailors, we take pride in supplying premium shower doors and enclosures, supported by careful installation and attention to detail. Our 10-Year Guarantee is provided as standard to give you confidence and peace of mind for years to come.

The Guarantee covers the core components that support the safe, reliable and lasting performance of your shower enclosure. Covered items include:

• Shower Glass — covered against manufacturing defects for 10 years.
• Shower Hardware — covered against defects in materials and workmanship when used and maintained correctly for 3 years.
• Shower Craftsmanship — labour for qualifying adjustments and service work for 10 years.

The Guarantee does not cover:

• Any product or component that has been modified without our prior written approval.
• Any product or component subject to accidental damage, normal wear and tear, misuse, wilful neglect, or failure resulting directly from incorrect care or maintenance.
• Any compensation for consequential loss or other associated costs, unless expressly agreed by us in writing in advance.

We reserve the right to amend designs, product specifications, finishes and materials without prior notice as part of our ongoing programme of product review and improvement.

As with any product guarantee, certain exclusions and limitations apply to ensure that claims are assessed fairly and consistently. The Guarantee does not cover:

• Silicone sealant naturally deteriorates over time through normal washing and use and is therefore a maintenance item. Glass Tailors does not provide sealant reapplication. A suitably qualified handyman or contractor can undertake resealing, including related maintenance such as grout resealing.
• Normal wear and tear, scratches, and damage resulting from inadequate care or maintenance are not covered by the Guarantee.
• Although wear items are excluded from the 10-Year Guarantee, plastic seals, sweeps, gaskets and thresholds are covered by a separate 1-year guarantee from the date of purchase or installation.
• Our Easy Clean Protective Glass Finish is not included in this Guarantee. Its performance depends on the care and maintenance regime followed by the user and may reduce over time, particularly where abrasive or unsuitable cleaning products are used.
• Damage arising from misuse or modification.
• Cosmetic changes, including natural ageing or patina.
• Environmental damage, including corrosion caused by standing water, chemicals or other external conditions.

All glass panels are covered for 10 years from the date of purchase or installation, unless otherwise stated. Hardware is covered for 3 years against manufacturing defects and is warranted to function as designed under normal use and with appropriate maintenance. Although wear items are excluded from the 10-Year Guarantee, plastic seals, gaskets and thresholds are covered by a separate 1-year guarantee from the date of purchase or installation.

Shower Glass (10 Years)

We guarantee that the glass used in your shower enclosure is free from material defects that could affect its integrity or where the glass fails without impact or damage from an external force.

The glass Guarantee does not cover:

• Replacement of hardware — replacement glass will normally be installed using the existing shower hardware. If replacement hardware is required, we will provide a quotation at the homeowner’s cost.
• Damage caused to shower hardware or other surfaces as a result of the glass breakage.
• Glass breakage caused by impact or another external force.
• Glass scratches, staining or other forms of damage.

Shower Hardware (3 Years)

The metal hardware supporting your shower glass may comprise brass, aluminium or stainless steel base materials, together with moving components such as hinges and pivots and the finish applied to the surface. This includes clamps and channels continuing to secure the glass, hinges continuing to operate and pivot components continuing to function as intended.

The hardware finish is not covered by this Guarantee. Although finishes are designed for long-term performance, their appearance can be affected by environmental factors including water composition, shower products, cleaning products, dents, scratches and other external damage. We cannot guarantee the condition or appearance of the hardware finish following installation.

Shower Craftsmanship (10 Years)

Our 10-Year installation guarantee covers qualifying adjustment and service work where hinges, clamps or other components have become loose. We will provide the labour required to reattach, tighten or otherwise secure the enclosure so that it operates as originally designed. A common example is a hinge loosening around the glass, which can allow the door to shift. Although safety features are incorporated to help prevent the glass from separating completely from the hinge, the door may still come into contact with surrounding surfaces. For your safety, please discontinue use of the door until the necessary adjustment or service work has been completed. Adjustments may also be required as a result of factors such as settlement of the building or movement of walls.

The installation Guarantee does not cover:

• Issues that cannot be resolved by labour alone, including hardware that is outside its applicable guarantee period and is no longer functioning correctly. We can provide a quotation for any additional materials required to remedy the issue.
• Attachment issues caused by defects or movement within the walls, curbs or ceiling to which our hardware is secured. In such circumstances, a general contractor or other suitable specialist may be required to address the underlying issue.
• The cost of warranty service carried out by third parties. All services claimed under this Guarantee must be performed by Glass Tailors Ltd.

Your shower enclosure is manufactured using high-quality toughened safety glass and hardware made from durable brass, stainless steel or extruded aluminium. With appropriate care and maintenance, your enclosure should remain both attractive and functional for many years.

Maintaining your Guarantee is straightforward. All products should be cleaned using mild, non-abrasive cleaning products and maintained in accordance with Glass Tailors’ care guidelines. Avoid harsh chemicals and abrasive tools, as these may damage glass, seals or finishes and may affect Guarantee coverage.

Simple, regular care will help preserve the appearance, performance and longevity of your shower enclosure and hardware.

This 10-Year Guarantee is valid in the United Kingdom only and is available solely to the original purchaser. Proof of purchase will be required, and the Guarantee is not transferable to any third party.

If a covered defect in materials or workmanship is identified, Glass Tailors will take appropriate action in accordance with this Guarantee. At our discretion, we may repair or replace the affected product where appropriate. Our aim is to resolve valid claims efficiently, fairly and with minimum inconvenience to the customer.

Submitting a Guarantee claim is straightforward. Please contact Glass Tailors Customer Service and provide:

• Proof of purchase.
• A description of the issue.
• Photos of the product.

In some cases, Glass Tailors may request that the product be returned for inspection. Where warranty service is applicable, the process will be managed by Glass Tailors as efficiently as possible.
