Glass Tailors

About Us

Bespoke architectural glass, made by people who care.

A West London workshop, a close-knit team, and two decades spent solving the trickiest glass briefs in the city. We design, manufacture and install in-house, so the people you speak to are the same people making your project.

Our vision

Glass that disappears, work that doesn't.

Glass Tailors exists to make the kind of bespoke glass projects that other companies turn down — the awkward shapes, the tight schedules, the millimetre tolerances. We started small and stayed small, so every project is still owned by a person rather than a queue.

We work with our clients to design the right job for them, drawing on decades of industry experience and a process we've refined project by project. The result is a quietly different experience: honest pricing, sharp drawings, calm installs, and glass that looks effortless because we sweated the detail.

Our mission

Flexibility, honesty, and a calm hand.

Everything we do is rooted in transparency. From quote to design, from manufacture to install, we keep clients informed and confident at every stage — no surprises on price, no surprises on day one.

Projects rarely run in a straight line, so we stay flexible where it matters. We'll go the extra step on service, and we'd rather flag a question early than paper over it.

Why choose us

Four reasons clients return — and refer.

01

In-House Manufacturing

Our South Ruislip facility cuts, edges, drills, paints and toughens glass under one roof — so we control every panel from raw sheet to finished piece. It also means we can react quickly when a project changes on site.

02

Expert Installation Teams

Our installers are employed, not subcontracted, and most have been with us for years. The same teams handle frameless showers in private homes and structural partitions in listed buildings, applying the same standards to both.

03

Precision Laser Measurement

Every project is laser-templated on site by our own technicians, producing electronic templates with unparalleled accuracy. The glass you receive fits the space you actually have — not the space the drawings assumed.

04

Estimator-Led, Not Sales-Led

Enquiries are handled by experienced structural glass estimators rather than a sales desk. You'll speak to the same person from first call through to install day — no hand-offs, no scripts, no pressure.

Over the years we've worked with fit-out companies large and small, with local builders and national contractors, and directly with homeowners and architects. Our approach flexes to the project — what stays constant is the quality, the timeline, and a glass install that's seamlessly made to measure.

The process

Three considered steps.

01

Consultation

Every enquiry is picked up by one of our structural glass estimators, not a salesperson. We listen first — understanding the brief, the building and the result you want — and offer honest advice on what's possible. If a site visit will help, one of our specialists comes to you.

02

Design & Survey

Our estimators work alongside the technical design team to produce detailed CAD drawings showing fixings, specifications and construction. On site, our technicians template with state-of-the-art laser scanners for millimetre-accurate digital templates. Once the details are agreed, the glass, fixings and finishes are ordered and an install date is confirmed.

03

Manufacture & Install

Glass is made in our own workshop, then fitted by our own installation teams — among the most experienced in the industry. Whether it's a frameless shower in a private home or a structural partition in a centuries-old church, the same standards and care apply. We finish on time, on plan, and leave the site clean.
